"It's a Steam Engine"

"Union Pacific Railroad's "Challenger" No. 3985, the world's largest operating steam locomotive, stopped in Washington Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010 as part of a six-state, 2,200-mile tour from Wyoming to Illinois. The 122-foot long articulated locomotive weighs over 1 million pounds. It was built in 1943, retired in 1959 and restored in 1981.

The train made a 10-minute whistle stop at the Amtrak station in Washington.
