"Slava was one of the first people I met when I moved to Missouri. At that time I had a photography business and I was in my studio getting things ready for a grand opening when in walked Slava. She introduced herself to me and my husband and invited us to lunch. Back then you had to watch your back for the others in your industry because they wouldn't think twice about stabbing you in the back while ruining your business. Not Slava! We talked in my studio, the whole walk to the restaurant and back, all through lunch, and after several hours together I knew I had found someone genuine. Not only did Slava become my best friend, she was also the only person I trusted with my most precious treasures... my children. She became our family photographer and captured the most beautiful moments of my family's life. Maternity photos, baby photos, family photos and even special occasions like baby's 1st birthday were all beautifully documented. I love Slava's presence during photos sessions, professional yet gentle and friendly and my children just adore her. She's patient with us, guiding us through the process and making sure we have everything we need and want in our sessions. Slava is hands down, my favorite photographer and her work is truly incredible. There's no one else in this whole area that I would recommend over Slava, because she is just so genuine and kind that her heart shines through in her services, start to finish. She is truly amazing and beautiful both as a person and as a photographer. You won't be disappointed in the results if you hire her for your own photography needs. I never was. "

“When presented with this collaboration, I couldn’t refuse the opportunity to explore these emotions and create a visual series with a truly talented photographer and dear friend.  Many of us find ourselves struggling with the same recurring negative thoughts or the ever-so-common “I’ll be happy when…” statement. It’s easier than ever to spiral down this pattern with constant external pressures, social networking and media.  When we are actually able to visualize the impact of our own self-restrictions it has a deeper influence on the mind. We all deserve happiness from the inside – out, by taking time to enjoy the things we love and being kind to ourselves along the way. SLEEP WALKING/AWAKE

“The wonderful thing about Sleep Walking/Awake is that it will have a different meaning for everyone. I loved the time that I spent posing for these photos and walking around in public wearing bright pink PJ’s. I can tell you that I was most certainly awake during every single shot! It made me think about my own life. At any moment, what if someone were to take a polaroid snapshot of me? Would I like what I see? We all fall “asleep” at some point. Otherwise we would never have the feeling of awakening. The trick is to maintain consciousness as long as possible. Slava is marvelous behind the camera. She is an amazing person. I am thankful to have been a part of this project with her because it has taught me a great deal.”
